Partnerships

You need:

  • Access to resources for doing business globally, then locally.
  • Access to business process services that offer more than language solutions
  • Access to the best language technology to deliver your products and services as quickly as possible, and communicate your message as accurately as possible

Solution: McElroy Partnerships

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts
This is the goal of McElroy’s strategic partnership program. McElroy has identified three types of partnerships that have proven to provide mutual benefit to our partners and our clients.

Glocal partnerships

Glocal describes a different approach to symbiotic vendor relationships. It supports mutual company revenue growth of independent enterprises through selected integrated services and personnel on both a geographic and industry expert level. It is the creation of a new service or product offering that achieves superior efficiencies through process integration.

Advantages to clients include:

  • Greater breadth of global expertise
  • High-touch local customer service
  • Boutique vendor expertise without high overhead pricing

Advantages to partners include:

  • Economies of scale
  • Shared technologies
  • Volume capabilities that match or exceed the largest LSPs
  • The ability to offer an extended range of services to their direct customers

Business process services partnerships

Business process services partnerships are created with those companies whose clients are outsourcing services such as document discovery, human resources, payroll, legal, IT, CRM, or marketing. Where these functions involve providing services in more than one language, a partnership that incorporates language services into the package can offer a more competitive turn-key solution to clients. We are able to work with an individual service provider to integrate our services into their system.

Business process services partnerships may also occur with companies offering services that are often coupled with localization or translated output. By developing integrated partnerships that interface between McElroy’s systems and partner systems enables both parties to offer efficient turn key solutions in highly-specialized services.

These partners will be able to offer translation services (human, machine or a hybrid) to their customers using seamless content flow back and forth between their system and McElroy’s.

For example, we have developed business process partnerships with providers of software engineering, DTP services in bi-directional languages, CAD services, MSDS databases and  regulatory services.

Technology partnerships

Technology partners will benefit by having their ‘standard’ software solutions integrated into complex language services solutions that are outside of their normal “sweet spot”. For instance, we are working with two partners to develop a qualitatively different approach to combined human and machine translation.

Our technology partners benefit from our consulting expertise as we help them with processes and technology on their side, and also from the integration capabilities of Idiom Technologies’ WorldServer, either because they also have WorldServer installed at their facility or because we are able to automate the document flow from their systems into WorldServer at our site and back into their systems.

What does McElroy look for in a partner?
McElroy assesses potential partnerships based on 1) symbiotic target markets, 2) mutually beneficial opportunities, 3) strategic growth initiatives, and 4) company culture compatibilities.

  • Commitment: Once committed to a relationship we will deliver and expect in return an exceptional level of commitment to deliver.
  • Business Opportunity: We consider partnerships that present the potential for growth for both parties through building a unique or improved product or service.
  • Integrity: For a partnership to be successful, both organizations need to share similar company values with respect to business practices, ethics, and value of clients, employees and vendors.

A key element that differentiates various types of vendor relationships from a true partnership is the level of INTEGRATION.

If your firm is interested in expanding your service offerings in order to gain a competitive advantage, please contact , McElroy’s VP of Strategy. Prospective partnerships are considered thoughtfully, and McElroy is prepared to innovate to ensure the success of both parties.
