McElroy presents at Localization World

Operations Manager Kim Vitray is presenting “Translation Workflow Tool: The ‘Make Your Own’ Perspective” at Localization World, in Seattle, WA, October 25-27, 2005. Kim’s presentation is part of an all-day preconference workshop entitled “Translation Workflow—Make or Buy?” that also includes presentations from Frank Bergmann of project-open and Heidi Depraetere of Cross Language, moderated by Jost Zetzsche. The workshop is designed to explore making or buying one’s own translation workflow tool, with a summary of both viewpoints and discussion of the pros/cons and successes/failures on both sides. McElroy Translation designed, developed, built, and implemented its electronic job tracking system, ELJOTS®, in 1999 using Microsoft Access and inhouse talent. ELJOTS® has been instrumental in McElroy’s ability to process and track a large volume of work and to set the standard for customer service and responsiveness.
