McElroy Establishes PMO
Effective July 2, McElroy Translation created a Project Management Office (PMO) that will be managed by Director of PMO Patricia Bown. This organizational structure change is designed to better match the nature of our evolving workflow, and the new PMO will handle external sourcing, management of translation memories, use of translation tools, and preproject estimation and planning.
A survey of the competitive landscape shows that most major industry players relay on a vendor manager or PMO to handle a similar range of responsibilities. McElroy’s reorganization is an indication of our growing sophistication with an eye toward continued growth. Also on July 2, the PMO welcomed Courtney Maxwell, who has worked with McElroy as a contract localization project manager and brings impressive localization credentials to our organization.
